12 HOURS-12 QUESTIONS ONLINE QUIZ CONTEST AND INFOGRAPHICS-WORLD FOOD DAY

 

On 16th October, 2020, International Veterinary Students' Association (IVSA) Paklihawa, celebrated "World Food Day" by organizing online quiz contest and releasing many infographics and posters in different social media, viz, Facebook posts and Instagram Stories.

United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) marked October 16 of every year as World Food Day in the year 1979.  World Food Day 2020 also marks the 75th anniversary of FAO. Initially, World Food Day was launched to commemorate the establishment of FAO. Gradually, the day turned into a global event, creating awareness about food shortage and reviving food systems across the globe.

In the online quiz contest, 12 questions were asked at the interval of an hour, i.e, 12 questions in 12 hours in Facebook post and Instagram stories. More than 100 participants participated in the contest via the two platforms.

The questions asked were:

 The rules for the contest were:

1) The winner were chosen on the basis of the correctness of the answer along with a speedy response.

2) The question were posted from 8 am to 8 pm on an hourly gap.

3) The question were posted both on Facebook Post and Instagram Story, participants are required to answer on any one of them.

4) Double answers both on Facebook and Instagram was discarded.

5) Multiple comments of the same participant was discarded.

IVSA Paklihawa announced the winner of the online quiz contest held on 16 October on the occasion of "World Food Day". The winner of the quiz contest was selected combinedly from the respondents of both the Facebook page and Instagram story on the basis of correct answers and minimum time taken to answer the questions. There were more than 100 respondents in the quiz contest and the winner was Ms. Anjali Nepal.

Further, IVSA Paklihawa also released many infographics and posters for awareness about World Food Day.
