Animal Birth Control Program in collaboration with HAVS

IVSA Paklihawa successfully conducted the Animal Birth Control Camp in Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality, Sindupalchowk district in collaboration with HAVS & Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality. The camp was organised with the primary purpose of eliminating rabies from the neighbourhood.
The programme was held at Irkhu Community Hall on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of Falgun (20th, 21st, and 22nd of February). We were assisted by Dr. Sunil Thapa and Sirjan Thapa. During three days, we were able to spay and neuter 163 communal dogs and 44 owned dogs in Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality. Animal care was prioritised throughout the camp, from trapping dogs to releasing them back to their original site. Tagging was done by notching the upper left ear. Along with this, every dog brought to the camp received a rabies vaccination.
