"DEWORMING AND FARM RECORD KEEPING PROGRAM"

On 15th February 2021, Monday, STANDING COMMITTEE ON ANIMAL WELFARE(SCAW), IVSA Paklihawa organized "DEWORMING AND FARM RECORD KEEPING" Program targeting the welfare of animals at IAAS Farm.

The program was conducted by Mr.Prakash Rawal(Secretary, IVSA Paklihawa) under the chairmanship of Ms.Suva Shree Sharma (President, IVSA Paklihawa) and was coordinated by Ms.Samikshya Bhusal(Executive Committee Member,IVSA Paklihawa) . In this program we had Dr.Tikaram Khanal as a resource person and Mr. Ram Shankar(SCAW Ambassador).

Prior to the deworming day we conducted the survey of farm animals to be dewormed which included previous status of deworming, pregnancy status, age , weight and thus the farm record of IAAS Paklihawa was maintained.  And on the following day with the data of farm record, about 100 animals were dewormed consisting 15 Buffaloes, 10 Cows, 25 Pigs, 30 Goats and 20 Sheeps.

Beside this,the farmers and the staffs looking after the animals of the farm were also made aware about the different endoparasites,their effects and the ways of prevention.

The whole program was guided and mentored by our resource person Dr.Tikaram Khanal and was volunteered by about 20 students studying veterinary at Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Paklihawa.
