"EXPLORING VETERINARY INTERNSHIP AND EXTERNSHIP"

On 21st May 2021, Friday, Standing Committee on Veterinary Education (SCOVE) International Veterinary Students' Association (IVSA) Paklihawa conducted its fourth episode of Career Campfire – Season 1. The session entitled “Exploring Veterinary Internship and Externship" mainly focused on the queries and confusions which a normal veterinary student would have during his/her academic and field exposure. All the queries were addressed by the guest speakers Dr Subash Belbase (Research Intern 2019, University of Liverpool, UK, past president, IVSA Paklihawa) and Dr Aashish Gyawali (WVS Intern 2019, past Exchange officer, IVSA Paklihawa).

The session was hosted by Ms Karishma Pokhrel (Editor, IVSA Paklihawa) and moderated by Mr Alok Dhakal (SCoVE Coordinator, IVSA Paklihawa). The session was supported by Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) Nepal. Dr Belbase and Dr Gyawali gave a short presentation on their internship and externship journey respectively and a short question and answer session was conducted where the participants of the program asked their queries to the guest persons.

The program lasted for about one and half hours long with 66 participants. The program was supported by the guests Dr. Sirjan Bastola (Assistant Professor, TU, Advisor IVSA Paklihawa), Dr. Yuvraj Panth (Secretary, NVA Lumbini Province, Charter President IVSA Nepal), Dr. Ranjita Bastola (Past Exchange Officer, IVSA Rampur) and IVSA Nepal representatives. The program was concluded with some remarkable words from Ms Suvha Shree Sharma (President, IVSA Paklihawa).
