"FREE ANIMAL HEALTH CAMP-2077"

 

On 3rd February 2020, Wednesday, International Veterinary Students' Association (IVSA) Paklihawaorganized "One Day Free AnimalHealth Camp"in collaboration with the co-organizer Nepal Veterinary Association (NVA) Lumbini Provinceat Siddharthanagar-11, Piparihawa, Rupandehi.

The program was conducted by Mr.PrakashRawal (Secretary, IVSA Paklihawa) under the chairmanship of Ms. Suvha Shree Sharma (President, IVSA Paklihawa) and was coordinated by Mr. Anil Pokhrel (Treasurer, IVSA Paklihawa).

The health camp was chaired by Mr. Hari Prasad Adhikari (Mayor, Siddharthanagar Municipality) as the chief guest, AssocProf. Dr Ram Bhajan Mandal (Campus Chief, IAAS Paklihawa) as the special guest, Assoc. Prof. Dr Krishna Kaphle (Director, Veterinary Teaching Hospital, IAAS Paklihawa) as our distinguished guest, Dr Ishwar Chandra Chaudhary (Chief Veterinary Officer, Siddharthanagar Municipality), Mr. DilipKumar Yadav (Chairman, SNP-11)Dr Birendra Shrestha (Assistant Professor-IAAS Paklihawa, Treasurer-NVA,Lumbini Province), Dr Ganga Prasad Yadav (Assistant Professor, IAAS Paklihawa), Dr.Rabin Acharya (Assistant Professor, IAAS Paklihwa)Dr.YuvrajPanth (Executive Committtee Member,NVA Lumbini Province), Mr.Santosh Panta(Former President,IVSA Paklihawa), Mr. Pratik Kiju (Former Exchange Officer, IVSA Nepal),Mr. Manoj Poudel (President, NVSA IAAS, TU), Mr.AashishAdhakari  (President,IVSA Nepal) and Ms. RachanaDangol (PRC, IVSA Nepal) as the guests in the program.

The Program was conducted from 10 AM to 4 PM where about 150 farmers were registered from around 5 wards of Piparihawa-11, Rupandehi. Around 520 livestock including buffaloes, cows, goat along with poultry were treated and were provided free medical check ups along with medicines.

The one day free animal health camp was supported by Siddharthanagar-municipality, Nepal Veterinary Association-Lumbini Province, Veterinary Teaching Hospital-IAAS Paklihawa, IVSA Nepal, Veterinary hospital and Livestock Services Expert Center, Lumbini Province.In addition, Asian Pharmaceuticals, Fleur Himalayan, Karnatara Antibiotics, MDH Pharmaceuticals, Nepal Pharmaceutical Laboratory, Bhatbhateni International, MangaleshwarAgroVet Suppliers, Med Vet Pvt. Ltd, Medlink International, Q Med, Kantipur Vet Distributers supported by providing medicinal support in the conduction of this "Free Animal Health Camp".

The free animal health camp was assisted by Dr.Birendra Shrestha and Dr.Ganga Prasad Yadav, as the clinician for the camp. And about 50 veterinary students studyingin the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Paklihawa, who were selected from the registration formopened before, also assisted the health camp.
