Handling And Restraining Animals

International Veterinary Students Association NPI ( IVSA NPI ) organized a “Weekly Program ” under SCoVE about handling and restraining animals for students of B.V.Sc and AH with the motto of providing practical based knowledge to veterinary students. Without the knowledge of proper restraining technic animals and humans may be harmed.

Animal restraint is the process of preventing an animal or group of animals from action or motion, for example, flight or attack for various purposes. An animal may require restraint for examination, treatment, milking, etc. Restraint can be achieved simply by moral persuasion or by physical force or chemical means.

The program was conducted on July 4, 2022, under the chairmanship of Mr.Bijay Bhattarai (Vice President, IVSA NPI). We completed the program under the guidance of our Patron Dr.Egendra Kumar Shrestha.

IVSA NPI is thankful to our program coordinator Subash Pathak ( SCoVE Committee Member), Nepal Polytechnic Institute, Dr. Egendra Kumar Shrestha, all the helping hands, and all the students who were present to gain knowledge and benefit during this program.
