Hosting International Cultural Exchange With IVSA India

We were delighted by the presence of our guests from IVSA India. As planned the trip was planned from 11th december to 18th december. Their 1st visit was to the Paklihawa Campus. We IVSA Paklihawa felt really happy to welcome them in Nepal.

After their arrival at Sunauli border, on december 11th, Mr. Sachin Shrestha (Editor, IVSA Paklihawa) and Mr. Saroj Neupane (Standing Committee Chair, IVSA Paklihawa) received them. We took them to Paklihawa Campus in an Electric Rickshaw. We enjoyed the scenery of the beautiful road from Sunauli border to Paklihawa Campus. IVSA Paklihawa family welcomed them to the Campus. We then toured them to Paklihawa campus territory.

We had decent Nepali cuisine at Sapana Restaurant. There was a small formal programme and a short cultural programme performed by the students of Paklihawa Campus. Also, some of our guest friends also showed their singing talent. Our guest exchange some good conversations with the Professors of Paklihawa Campus. At last we had a dance session where everyone showed their dancing talent.

Next day i.e on December 12th, we had planned for a Lumbini visit, as per our planning we had left for Lumbini at around 8 AM after having some breakfast. We booked 4 rickshaws and visited around 6 Temples and at last the Mayadevi Temple. In Mayadevi temple we witnessed the remaining of the Shakya Dynasty and 7 steps of Lord Gautam Budhha imprinted on the stone. There was the Ashoka Pillar which was put there by the Emperor Ashoka, King of India. We experienced very calming vibes around every temple.

After the visit to Mayadevi Temple we then had lunch at Katiya and left for Butwal where we managed a microbus and all our guests left for Sauraha. Before leaving for Sauraha we got some souvenirs from our guests.

After a one week long visit of Chitwan, Kathmandu and Pokhara we again welcomed them in Paklihawa campus. They reached Paklihawa campus on morning of 18th december. We had badminton match between IVSA Paklihawa and IVSA India. Our delegates got the chance to enjoy fresh morning of Paklihawa. We had breakfast at Saraswati restaurant. After having breakfast we had to bid farewell to our friends. In this short interval we got chance to know each other a lot, share our differences. We promised to meet again in coming days.
