International Conference on LIFESTYLE, ANIMAL WELFARE AND VETERINARY STUDIES

The first ever international conference hosted by a student organization in Nepal , “International conference on Lifestyle , Animal Welfare and Veterinary Studies” was organized by InternationalVeterinary Students’Association Nepal on 29th April, 2016 at FAVF, AFU, Rampur, Chitwan. The conference included presentations on thematic areas of Lifestyle & Livestock, Domestic & Wildlife Welfare, Veterinary Education Status, Ethno-Veterinary Medicine by the presenters from Nepal, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

 

The programme was chaired by President Yuvraj Panth , Chief Guest Icp Tiwari, Act. Dean at FAVF, AFU and event coordinated by EO Bishnu Hari Sharma.

Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) is the first technical university of Nepal. International Veterinary Students’ Association Nepal (IVSA Nepal) , being an eminent organization of the youth established for promoting Animal health as well as Veterinary Education. Both the University and IVSA Nepal in alliance organized “International conference on Lifestyle , Animal Welfare and Veterinary Studies”.

The program was joined by International delegates of IVSA Brano. Jaroslav Skala & Marketa Halladova Represented IVSA Brno and gave their presentation on the Conference. Students from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS) Paklihawa , Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Chitwan also presented their topic relevant to the thematic areas of the Conference.

Prof. Ishwor Chandra Prakash Tiwari , Acting Dean at the Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science & Fisheries (FAVF) said “the University is thankful to the IVSA Nepal as it has helped the growth of the faculty directly by providing materials and Platform for Veterinary Study”.

“The achievement of IVSA Nepal in last 3 years was deserving for creating common platform for National as well International students and this is the first ever International Conference hosted by students in Nepal.” said the Chairperson of the program and President Yuvraj Panth.
