IVSA Animal Welfare Week 2019

IVSA Rampur celebrated Animal Welfare Week (4th -11th March) 2019 with series of programs to cover the different aspects of animal welfare. The animal welfare week program was inagurated on 4th of march with starting "Online Quiz Program." The quiz program was launched with the motive to provide information about various actions related to animal welfare and conservation. On the next day, "Public Awareness Ralley program" was conducted in collaboration with One Health Nepal and VETSAW at Rampur to aware local farmers and residents about the need of animal welfare and its status in Nepal. In continuation of the celecbration of welfare week, "AFU Livestock Farm sanitation program" was conducted with active participation of general members of IVSA Rampur. Following other programs, IVSA Rampur conducted a presentation program on the topic "Animal Welfare -The Well Being of Individual Wild Animals" at veterinary conference hall on 8th march .The topic was presented by Mr. Bikash pathak Chhetri (Director of acting for animals & Rapid Response Team ). On 5th day, "Ectoparasites Treatment Program" was conducted at AFU livestock farm where more than 40 animals were treated with ectoparasiticides. On the final day, a mastitis test campaign was conducted at buffalo farm of rampur to detect subclinical mastitis on farm buffaloes. The week long program was summarised and formally ended with candle light ralley program at evening of 11th march.
