STUDY CIRCLE, SESSION-X ON "COMMONLY USED DRUGS IN THE VETERINARY FIELD"

On March 15, 2022,Standing Committee on Veterinary Education (SCoVE), International Veterinary Students' Association (IVSA), Paklihawa organized Study Circle, Session - X on "Commonly used drugs in the veterinary field" in support of veterinary education.

Study circle is an event where a certain topic is assigned to a particular student and then he does some research, gathers all the information regarding the topic and finally shares his/her knowledge to a group of students on a common platform.

Mr. Ram Shankar (Former Global Ambassador of IVSA SCAW) served as the program's resource person and the program was moderated by Mr. Min Bahadur Oli (IVSA SCoVE coordinator).

Min Bahadur began the session by explaining the background of the standing committee on veterinary education, how IVSA Paklihawa is working to improve veterinary education and recent programs organized by SCoVE. After that, the floor was handovered to Mr. Ram Shankar. Mr.Ram Shankar introduced himself and talked about antibiotic resistance, control measures, and the effects of antibiotics on bacteria. He also discussed different drug interactions in different drug combinations. he also briefly defined and explained the Mode of action,indication,contraindication and the side effects of the following drugs.

 Mr. Ram also addressed  different questions raised by the  participants.The program lasted for about one and a half hour. A total of 45 participants attended the event.
