Pandemic Psychology; A Talk Show 

With the main motto 'Giving insights on Psychology be it for the preparation of next pandemic or mental health issues brought by the ongoing pandemic in certain risk population', International Veterinary Students' Association Paklihawa (IVSA, Paklihawa) conducted a talk show on "Psychological effects of Pandemic" on 26th June.2020. The key speaker of the program was Mr.Upendra Raj Dhakal (Public Health Specialist). He is also the founder of 1000 Graduates Movement. 

Keeping in mind, the major concern of the increased suicidal rates in Nepal and worldwide, this pandemic has affected the psychology of people one way or another. Similarly, the question still arises how can we cope with similar or different kind of pandemics in the future. Mr. Dhakal gave detailed information from incubation and window period of the pandemic, the history of occurence of disease, levels of prevention, and the origin of the pandemic. He explained the distribution of pandemics and effects and impacts of it in people and the country tself. The discussion was held about the role of clinical and community pathologists in overcoming the condition and Mr. Dhakal marked social security as the key solution for the problem. There was a very interactve session on how could we prepae for the next pandemic between the participants and the speaker followed by question answer sessions. 

There were total of 35+ participants(including national and international ones) and the program was really interactive with flood of queries and discussions. IVSA paklihawa would like to thank the key speaker and the participants who made the program successful.
