International Veterinary Students’ Association Nepal organized a day Workshop on Dairy Animal Production at Chiranjibi Chowk, Bharatpur-17, Chitwan dated 20th January 2015. Accepting the queries by farmers on enhancing the livestock focusing on the prevalent barriers for upliftment of their life standard via Dairy Animal Production Improvement, IVSA Nepal managed a medium for Veterinarians Dr. Tanka Khanal and Dr. Sanjiv Pandit and the farmers to join together. Dr. Khanal and Pandit spoke on different topics specifying mainly on FMD, Repeat Breeding and Mastitis to help farmers in this area get out of these problems . The workshop was organized to help farmers with the motto “Prevention is better than cure” and apply the local resources and knowledge to get rid of these problems.
The programme was hosted by Bishnu Hari Sharma and assisted by Santosh Devkota and Ganesh Adhikari. IVSA Nepal EO Yuvraj Panth was the co-ordinator of the event which facilitated more than 35 farmers at Chiranjibi Chowk.
