Five years of excellence in veterinary education and beyond - Celebrating IVSA HICAST's journey towards a brighter future for animals and society!
On the occasion of our 5th anniversary, International Veterinary Students' Association (IVSA HICAST ) organized a Street Animal Feeding Program with the aim of providing food and care to the street animals who are often neglected and suffer from malnutrition.
The program was a resounding success as our members came together to distribute food, water, and treats to the street animals in the surrounding areas. They also provided basic healthcare services, such as wound treatment and deworming.
IVSA HICAST believes that this program will not only improve the physical health of these animals but also raise awareness about the importance of animal welfare among the general public. By showing kindness and care towards these animals, the chapter hopes to inspire others to do the same.
The program also highlighted the need for more concerted efforts from the government and society to provide better living conditions for street animals. Many of these animals are forced to scavenge for food in dumpsters and garbage dumps, which not only causes them to suffer from malnutrition but also exposes them to diseases and other hazards.
IVSA HICAST hopes that this program will serve as a reminder to everyone that street animals are an important part of our ecosystem and deserve our compassion and care. We will continue our efforts in animal welfare and veterinary education, promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare practices.
