On October 10th, 2023, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, IVSA Paklihawa in collaboration with Amnesty International Paklihawa Youth Network successfully conducted Mix Volleyball Match Tournament at Paklihawa Campus in order to promote mental well-being through the universal language of sports.
The tournament started at 3:30 p.m. with the introduction of mental health at the volleyball court along with the discussion of the role of sports in uplifting mental health. After organizing everything, the game began with the referee's whistle. Students from the Paklihawa campus took part actively. The name list of participants was gathered from Google Docs and divided into six teams. Each squad was carefully assembled with three males and three girls to promote gender inclusion and harmony. The event lasted until 7:00 p.m., and all competitors demonstrated excellent talent and teamwork, demonstrating that sports are an effective tool for promoting mental well-being.
But it wasn't just the players who enjoyed the event. The entire audience at the court couldn't help but join in on the excitement. They also encouraged mental health by exhibiting poster cards with mental health messages throughout the competition.
Finally, the winners were applauded and served with cold drinks to wash down their sweets.
