FMD Vaccination Campaign

FMD is an acute contagious viral disease of all cloven footed animals,characterized by high fever that declines rapidly after two or three days, blisters inside the mouth that lead to excessive secretion of stringy or foamy saliva and to drooling, and blisters on the feet that may rupture and cause lameness . In Nepal, this disease is endemic and prevalent throughout the year,Occurrence found to be slightly high in the month of May and June and again during November and December.FMD vaccination campaign was carried out at Agriculture And Foresty UniversityLivestock Farm on 8th January 2016 in collaboration with International Young Veterinarian Association,Nepal and Group Of Agriculture And Veterinary Students – GAVS, supported by FAVF, AFU and Dlso Chitawan.

The event was accomplished in close observation of Dr. Shyam Bahadur Raut , Farm Instructor, AFU who expressed his gratitude in seeing student organizations involved in welfare of University farm animals.
