 “INTERNATIONAL STUDENT’S SYMPOSIUM ON WILDLIFE”

 (ISSW 2019)

International Veterinary Students’ Association Nepal (IVSA Nepal) is the national member organization of International Veterinary Students’ Association, which has extended it’s reach to over 65 countries.

IVSA Nepal in collaboration with IVSA BCN, Spain and Agriculture and Forestry University, Nepal is organizing “International Student’s Symposium on Wildlife”(ISSW 2019). The objective of the symposium is to increase the exposure of students, academicians and stakeholders to various aspects related to wild animals by gathering researchers, academicians and development entities to exchange knowledge and experiences generated in the field of wild animal research and present wild animal scenario. The symposium will be held on 7th September, 2019 in Chitwan, Nepal.  Thus, the organizing committee of ISSW 2019 hereby announces this CALL FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS and CALL FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS for the same. Presentations on research activities, clinical and non-clinical cases of wildlife handling, relevant filed experiences and stories, unique constructive concept models and organizational activities are accepted.

  • Health of Wildlife and Neglected Species
  • Emerging and Re-emerging Diseases
  • Zoonoses Diseases
  • Wildlife Farming

Oral Presentation

The oral presentation will be divided into two groups

1. Expert Presentation

2. Students Presentation

Each presentation shall be sub-grouped under Research, Review and Case Study. 

Time Limit

Each Presenter shall be provided with 20 minutes to complete their presentation and more 10 minutes for Q/A sessions. The official presentation langauge shall be English.

Poster Presentation

Accepted posters shall be asked to prepare a poster for display at the Symposium. Presenters are asked to take note of the following guidelines when preparing their poster.

Poster size is 3 feet (36 inch) wide x 4 feet (48) high. A POSTER TEMPLATE with correct dimensions is provided in portrait format (vertical). The poster viewing area for all thematic areas will be accessible in the symposium and can be viewed throughout the sessions. 

Please consider the following points for preparing your poster:

  • Keep it simple; stick to key points
  • Use minimum text and maximum pictures, graphs and tables
  • Make it self-explanatory
  • Make your poster easy to read i.e. use of large letters, bold fonts, simple figures and a clear lay out
  • Keep authentic referencing source (not exceeding 5 references)

Note: Best 3 posters will be reimbursed after completion of Symposium

Submission Process

Submission for Poster Presentation,Oral Presentation and Participation shall be done by simple online process by sending email at ivsanepal@gmail.com before 4th of september 2019. The poster and presentation shall be reviewed by organising committee before selecting participants for final presentation.
