On the occasion of "World Zoonoses Day - 2021", Standing Committee on One Health - International Veterinary Students' Association (IVSA) Paklihawa organized an "Online Poster Competition". The basic motive of this competition was to spread awareness about zoonoses, zoonotic diseases, their transmission, and prevention. The competition was based on the theme "Let's break the chain of Zoonotic Transmission".
The competition was started on 6th July 2021 and the deadline for the submission was 13th July 2021.
The panel of judges were: Dr. Sirjan Bastola (Assistant Professor, Tribhuvan University), Ms. Mutiat Adetona (Chair, IVSA SCOH 2020-2021), and Ms. Catherine Ross (Exchange Officer, IVSA UK) who judged the posters with their full wit and expertise.
The criteria for judgment was:
Content: 20 points
Theme Coverage "Let's break the Chain of Zoonotic Transmission": 30 points
Layout and design: 20 points
Creativity: 20 points
Practicality: 10 points
A sum of total fourteen participants participated in the competition. Each and every poster were informative in their own way.
After the judgment of all the 3 judges, the winners were declared as:
1) Mr. Paras Kunwar
2) Mr. Somnath Aryal
3) Mr. Bipin Rijal
Winners of the poster competition were honored with medals and cash prizes.
