Local chapter IVSA NPI organised one week long various events at their respective areas to raise awareness and vaccinate the stay dogs, cats to celebrate the world rabies day.
World Rabies day is great annual oppurtunity to increase awareness by holding an event, getting the policy level intrested to our work and connecting with the wider rabies prevention community.IVSA NPI conducted the follwing programs in following days,
Day 1 ( Awareeness program conducted in Shanti Vidhya mandir and Lotus Academy)
We were able to share our knowledge with about 220 students.We recieved a warm welcome from the teachers and students. We made aware about the rabies, its causes, modes of tramsmission, treatment and simple actions which can prevent this disease.
Day 2 (Awareness program conducted in Prerana secondary school and New Horizon school)
There was a great mass of students in these schools, we shared our knowledge with around 300 students. We were able to make some impact in their mind about rabies.
Day 3 (Free anti rabies vaccination program)
We vaccinated more then 75 dogs and 5 cats via free anti rabies vaccination at Naurangi tole, Mahendra tole, Dhangadha mandir tole chowk.
